Job Title: Wallcovering Assistant

Company: Wallcraft (previously Cutting Edge Paper)

Location: 111 East oak street; suite 1d

Pay: $25-$35 per hour (depending on experience and availability)

Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week. Flexibility in scheduling.

Position Overview:

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Wallcovering Assistants. In this role, you will apprentice under Christopher Wood, learning the art and craft of wallcovering installation. This is a hands-on position, ideal for someone interested in a creative trade and eager to develop their skills in a supportive, artistic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

    •    Assist with preparing surfaces for wallcovering, including taping, priming, and painting

    •    Learn and perform booking sheets (pasting wallcovering)

    •    Support the installation process by measuring and cutting materials

    •    Maintain tools and workspace, ensuring a clean and organized job site

    •    Follow safety protocols and company procedures

    •    Collaborate with the team to complete projects efficiently and to the highest standards

Qualifications:

    •    Interest in learning wallcovering and the finishing trades

    •    Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work

    •    Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment

    •    Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced professionals

    •    Physical ability to perform light labor, including lifting and standing for extended periods

    •    Prior experience in painting, taping, or related fields is a plus, but not required
